Michele Glassford has been writing childrens poetry and fiction for many years and began performing her poetry in 2004 to overwhelming response. Parents and teachers alike know the value of laughter when it comes to inspiring kids to read and write. A Laughing Gas poetry reading or seminar at your school or event will not only enlighten and entertain the children and adults, but will also inspire a love of poetry in the next generation. A Laughing Gas reading or workshop is always a lively event which encourages audience participation. Laughing Gas poems jump with rhythm, snap with rhyme, strike unusual imagery and always leave them laughing. Participants will learn about poetic forms and devices, such as onomatopoeia, metaphor, simile, rhythm, and rhyme scheme, among others. The fee for a reading or workshop varies with the scope of presentation required, the distance required to travel. In some circumstances, fees may be waived.
